Jill Ritter: My son, Tyler, started playing flag football with this league in 2018. He has played every season since then (except during covid). For many of those seasons, my husband has been his coach. He’s a freshman this year and, unfortunately, aged out of the league. He decided to take on a new role this season, assistant coach (with my husband) for his younger brother’s team.
I just wanted to share as it’s an example of how great flag football can be and what a difference it makes for youth. My son has done a great job coaching and has channeled all of the advice he’s received from coaches over the years into his work with the team. This experience is allowing him to build his confidence and leadership skills off the field.
Devonne Espinoza This is the first flag football league that my son has enjoyed playing for. He feels like a "big kid" playing at Cherry Creek High School, in Greenwood Village CO. it's so close to where we live that the whole family comes down to watch the games!
Luis Dominguez The spring season 2014 was the first season for my eldest son and he played for the Vikings in the Lombardi division (Lakewood, CO). He is returning in the fall season and is already registered. He made many friends as I did as well. I enjoyed watching him play and his team do their best every Sunday. It was a great experience and an awesome opportunity. I can't wait for my youngest could join the league and feel the rush of being on the field with kids his own age, and doing something fun just like his brother. Either way we cant wait until the season starts, because it was sad when the season ended. We got used to getting ready and playing every Sunday. The season ended at the tournament played at Sports Authority field, but it will be an experience they will never forget.
Jennifer Varnak We love the league because they really focus on having fun and developing a love for the sport! With these young kids there is no need to become super competitive. Just develop a desire to play as well as skills. The competitive leagues shouldn't start until they are teenagers in my opinion. Our son played his first season this past spring and looks forward to fall!

Derek J. Zeller I wish National Flag Football was around when I was growing up. Our boys had a blast and I really enjoyed coaching. The league is well put together and it was fun for the boys to play on the Lakewood High School football field.
Sarah Lawton Zeller Our family loved being a part of the National Flag Football league! With two kids participating and my husband as a coach, we experienced the organization on many levels. It was by far the most well run sports league we have ever been a part of! We all had a blast and look forward to next fall!
